Georgia and her friend Winnie
Shih-tzu dogs from Etobicoke are my favorite guests! All tree of them!
Chulito is 8 years old puppy, was rescued from a family, where his owners believe the man of the house was abusive, and had kicked in the dogs teeth. Chulito had some issues for a while around men, including the groomer and the vet, but he has been able to oercome this. He will bark when somebody enters the room or when someone is at the door. This however; is not aggression. He will respond well to a kind and loving approach. He enjoys sleeping, and usually does not eat his breakfast very early, and likes to eat his food separate from the other two.He needs a little encouragement to eat and eats slowly. I always leave the dry food available for Chulito.
Nimo and Zaly is 6 and 5 years old and was rescued from the dog pound in Quebec. He and Zali came from a farm where the owner was a lady and she had at least 20 more dogs. Every so often, she would place them in the dog pound and just leave them there for an extended period of time. When Zali and Nimo met for the first time in the owner’s home, it was nearly instant recognition, and they kissed and played and were over joyed! Since then, they are inseparable. They sleep together, eat together, and walk together. Nimo will kiss Zali every night before they go to sleep.
Zeus is one of the regulars to our dog boarding from Etobicoke, ON, and comes to stay with me very often. He is a Yorkie mix, and he is a very special doggy that needs a lot of love. Not everyone could take care for Zeus, he is a puppy with many needs. When I wake up every morning, hes already pumped raring to go for a walk. The funny thing is, is that he is one of the only dogs that I know that prefer to walk with a leash, where as most dogs would love to just run around. But not Zeus, he just loves my company when we walk. After the walk I have to start cooking his special meal. He has a very special diet, so I always wake up a little early just to cook for him. He also has many allergies, so I always have to keep him in sight and keep my eye on him. I also have to give him a needle fairly often to ensure that his allergies don’t trouble him. Needless to say, it takes a lot of work to take care of him, and not everyone could do it. I love taking care of him, and look forward to each of his visits.
Quincy and Mia – dog boarding guests from Etobicoke, ON
Quincy (poodle king charles spaniel mix) and Mia (poodle cocker spaniel mix) are always welcome to our dog boarding facility, every single time that I get an email explaining that they are coming over to stay with me, I get bursts of joy. When their owners, come pulling into my driveway, I can clearly see how Mia and Quincy are jumping everywhere in the car out of excitement to see me again. The owners always tell me that when Mia and Quincy return back to their home in Etobicoke, ON from my house, that the dogs run everywhere in the house in hopes of finding me there. I couldn’t help but smile when they also told me that Quincy and Mia actually miss me when they are back home. Even though they are the same breed and come from the same family, Quincy and Mia are every different from each other. Mia is very shy, timid, but is very affectionate and loves to be around people. Quincy on the other hand isn’t shy all, and extremely playful. He can not live without his ball, he’ll come running up to me with it in his mouth wanting to play for hours. I absolutely love these dogs, and they mean so much to me. They are a joy to have around and its the days that they are with me that make my profession so rewarding.
